Christian Frommelt and Jenny Shirar will be back in Innsbruck for the second time in January 2015!
Jenny and Christian have a versatile teaching and dancing style that has taken them to dance floors and stages across the United States and world, to prestigious studios, to riverboats, and everywhere in between! For more information go to their homepage!
We can’t wait to have them again!!!
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
All classes, except for beginners, will be taught by Christian and Jenny! The team of SwingOut Innsbruck will teach the beginner class!
Classes and Levels
ATTENTION: Class and level descriptions correspond with the minimum requirements respectively. However, all classes will be open for mixed levels! We believe that dancers benefit greatly from mixed classes and we would like to ask advanced dancers to show an understanding for those with less experience – everyone has to start somewhere! 🙂
Beginners Track with Swingout Innsbruck Team
For those of you who are curious and would like to try out Lindy Hop, or have taken already a Lindy Hop-Taster and want to learn more about Swingdancing, as well as for those dancers who would like to refresh their basics!
SOLD OUT! Waiting list is open!
Back to the Basics (Improver-Intermediate and up)
In this class we will not only revisit fundamentals, but will also explore how to make individual movement the driving force of your leading and following skills. We will also study how to maximize connection between partners using tone, stretch and release.
Minimum requirements: You feel comfortable with 6-Count basics and you have already tried side-by-side Charleston and some 8-count moves. You have been to some Social Dance and have tried these on the dance floor.
Spice up your Basics (Improver-Intermediate and up)
Taking familiar patterns such as swingouts and 6-count pass-by’s and morphing them into new and creative ideas!
Minimum requirements: Same here! You feel comfortable with 6-Count basics and you have already tried side-by-side Charleston and some 8-count moves. You have been to some Social Dance and have tried these on the dance floor.
TTT – Train the trainers teachers track (Intermediate and up)
From big picture vision to the fine points of making clear and concise explanations, we’ll work to help you build and deliver high quality instruction to your students. We’ll discuss how we approach our class planning and give you practical tips for communicating with students for maximum fun and effectiveness!
Minimum requirements: 6-Count and 8-Count as well as Lindy Charleston basics mostly work out smoothly, you are motivated to dance more and you regularly attend Social dances. You are teaching Lindy Hop or you would like to do so in future? Then this track is perfect to learn more about teaching methods and concepts!
Aerials (Intermediate and up)
ATTENTION: It is not possible to book Part I and/or II seperately! You can only join this class with a partner – as an exception, we will not rotate! It is recommended to join this class with a familiar partner since Aerials require mutual trust and involve a physical strain.
In this introductory aerials class we will cover the fundamentals of how to partner as a base and flyer and to use teamwork and timing to create your first air steps!
Continuing with air steps, and also integrating them into our partnered Lindy Hop!
Minimum requirements: 6-Count and 8-Count as well as Lindy Charleston basics mostly work out smoothly, you are motivated to dance more and you regularly attend Social dances.
