“Wow … what even is an ‘Intermediate Class Pass’?”, you ask. Aimed at more experienced swing dancers, it is, precisely, the ideal offer for both the most indecisive as well as the most committed swing dance enjoyers.
The Intermediate Class Pass is aimed at swing dancers who got all the basics down already. We’ll focus on solidifying and fine-tuning our skills while also expanding our repertoire. Covering a different topic every week we’ll look at things like technique, communication and musicality, while also exploring both the Slow Lindy and the Fast Lindy among other world-renowned choreographies.
We haven’t even mentioned the greatest thing about our Intermediate Class Pass yet though! If you’re unsure whether you can make it every single week but want to at least fit 5 sessions into your schedule per semester … or maybe 10 ... or perhaps even all 15 of them … You won’t have to worry about it, as the Intermediate Class Pass can be redeemed flexibly! Select and pay the amount of sessions you want to visit per semester and simply arrive spontaneously to the dates that suit you best.
Valid from October 7 2026 until February 10 2027.
Note: This Course is aimed at more experienced swing dancers. We advise to complete both the Beginner and Improver series beforehand.

The Location
The sports halls of the Ferrarischule Innsbruck, inhabited by the school’s pubescent students by day and by slightly more mature people who like to dance by night, is the ideal spot to learn swing dancing. Why you ask? Because we say so. You can find it at the Weinhartstraße 4, close to the bus and tram station ”Innsbruck Sillpark” as well as the tram stop “Innsbruck Brunecker Straße/BFI”. When approaching the building walk down the ramp on the left-hand side, as the sport halls are below surface level.
FAQ
Of course, lots of people do that. Since swing dancing is a social dance, you'll be dancing with different people in our classes anyway.
Certainly! Every Tuesday, our free Lindy Forum takes place at the Kulturbackstube "Die Bäckerei." From 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., we host a "Beginner Taster" for anyone who is interested. Just come by and take a relaxed look around.
Our regular courses all take place in the gym of the Ferrarischule (Weinhartstr. 4). The location of events can be found on the respective subpage.
The term 'swing' refers to a style of jazz music and dance from the 1920s and 1940s. Our speciality is the most famous of all swing dances, the Lindy Hop. We mostly teach Lindy Hop in all Beginner, Improver and Intermediate courses. However, we also regularly offer specialised classes in Charleston and Solo Jazz. The creators of early swing music and the swing dance of the lindy hop era, who we look at for inspiration, were Black people. As contemporary dancers in the swing dance community we should acknowledge the fact that many of us are guests in a culture created by these people 100 years ago.
Of course! Our teachers place great importance on ensuring that beginner courses are designed so that everyone can keep up, and they will support you with their expertise whenever you need help.
Simply write to info@swingoutinnsbruck.at or contact us during the Lindy Forum, and together we will find the right course for you!
